On September 12, 2025, the Ombudsperson sent a letter to the Minister responsible for Social Services in which he commented on the draft Regulation respecting the terms governing the use of monitoring mechanisms by certain users.
In a letter addressed to the chair of the Commission de la santé et des services sociaux, the Protecteur du citoyen comments on Bill 103 – An Act mainly to regulate supervised consumption sites in order to promote their harmonious cohabitation with the community.
On May 30, 2025, the Ombudsperson sent a letter to the Minister of Housing. In it, he commented on the draft Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting the criteria for the fixing of rent.

In a letter to the Commission des finances publiques, the Protecteur du citoyen commented on Bill 92 – An Act to amend various provisions mainly with respect to the financial sector.
On April 11, 2025, the Québec Ombudsperson sent a letter to the Minister of the French Language discussing the proposed amendments to two draft regulations on the use of French by the civil administration.
In a letter addressed to the Commission des relations avec les citoyens, the Protecteur du citoyen commented on Bill 84 – An Act respecting national integration.
In a letter sent to the Commission des finances publiques, the Ombudsperson, Marc-André Dowd, comments on Bill 82, An Act respecting the national digital identity and amending other provisions.
On October 15, 2024, the Protecteur du citoyen sent a letter to the Minister of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks. In it, he commented on the updated rules for better protecting property and people against flooding and watercourse movement.
In a letter to the Commission de l’économie et du travail, the Ombudsperson commented on Bill 71 - Act to improve support for persons and to simplify the social assistance regime.
