    The Québec Ombudsman conducted an investigation into allegations of quotas on incontinence briefs in residential and long-term care centres (CHSLDs).

  2. January 31 2017

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report denouncing deficiencies in the care and services offered to Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Gaspésie users. The investigation it conducted concerned residential and long-term care centres as well as hospitals and CLSCs in the region.

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report denouncing numerous problems experienced by the users of Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux de la Capitale-Nationale (CIUSSS-CN) lodged in a private boarding house. Several of the users were represented by the Curateur public.

  4. December 8 2016

    Situations of violation of users' rights and of deficient service and care quality at Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal were reported to the Québec Ombudsman.

  5. November 24 2016

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report describing failings in the quality of care, supervision and services provided at Résidence Ensemble S.E.N.C., an intermediate resource located in the Laurentides region.

  6. October 26 2016

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report concerning violation of the rights of users hospitalized on units 4C and 4D of Centre hospitalier régional de Lanaudière.

  7. June 30 2016

    Further to a report describing failings in the quality of care and services to residents at Orchidée 2, an intermediate resource located in the Montréal region, the Québec Ombudsman decided to intervene and broaden its investigation to the intermediate resource Orchidée 1.

    Within the context of an investigation concerning Institut Philippe-Pinel de Montréal, on its own initiative the Québec Ombudsman examined the question of locking the doors of patients’ rooms at night.

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report concerning the health and safety of the people living at Au Pierrot, a private seniors’ residence located in Sorel-Tracy.

    The Québec Ombudsman received a report concerning, among other things, flaws in the quality of care and services provided at Résidence Murray, a private seniors’ residence located in Sherbrooke.
