A new Protecteur du citoyen
On March 27, 2022, the 8th Protecteur du citoyen, Marc-André Dowd, took office. Mr. Dowd, who succeeds Marie Rinfret, is very familiar with the Protecteur du citoyen’s mission—he was the Deputy Ombudsman for Prevention and Innovation from 2010 to 2015.
