The Protecteur du citoyen investigated the process for placing cases on the roll at the Régie du logement in the last quarter of 2010-2011. It found an unfair practice.
Some cases were moved ahead on the roll to the detriment of others. Following recommendations made by the Protecteur du citoyen, the Régie du logement ensured that the roll management practice, which had been found to be unfair during the investigation, has ceased since April 1, 2011. In addition, the Protecteur du citoyen recommended to the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy to ask the Conseil de la justice administrative to investigate the situation described in the report. The Minister responded positively to this recommendation.
