How to file a complaint?

Our services are free and the information you send will be handled confidentially.

Before filing a complaint:

  1. Make sure you have come to the right place.

    We only handle complaints about Government of Québec departments and agencies or health and social services institutions (second-level recourse). See Can we handle your complaint?.

  2. Have the required information and documents handy.

    To handle your complaint, information like the following can be useful:

    • The name of the person you talked to at the department, agency or institution concerned;
    • The date and time of the conversation or of the situation you experienced or saw;
    • A summary of what was said and done and of the outcome;
    • A copy of the documents you sent or received.
