A citizen lodged a complaint against the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), which debited more than $500 for no reason.

She noticed the debit a few days after visiting a service outlet to store her motorbike, where she received confirmation that all applicable fees had been paid.

The SAAQclic computer system had caused the problem. The SAAQ was aware of the error, but after two months of waiting, the citizen still had no news.

The Protecteur du citoyen intervened with the SAAQ. The mistake was corrected and the citizen was finally reimbursed.
