A citizen lodged a complaint against a hospital that had lost her clothes.
When she arrived at the emergency room, she had to take her clothes off to put on a gown. A care attendant put them away.
Later, she was transferred to another part of the hospital.
At the end of her stay, she asked for her clothes back. The staff in her new section looked for them but came up empty-handed.
Because the Protecteur du citoyen intervened, the citizen was reimbursed for the loss of her clothing. The institution also reminded the employees concerned that, as soon as patients arrive from another section, they must review the list of their personal belongings. That way, the employees can make sure they have everything together.
