A man files a complaint against a rehabilitation centre that booked him a very expensive paratransit services.
The employee meant well. She knew that the man needed a ride to get to the appointment she had just scheduled with him. However, she did not ask for his permission before booking the trip.
After his appointment, the man received a bill for nearly $400. He did not expect to have to pay so much since his usual means of transportation was much cheaper.
According to the Protecteur du citoyen, the employee should have researched the transportation options more thoroughly and checked with the man before booking the ride.
The Protecteur du citoyen intervened, and the man did not have to pay the bill.
