A mother filed a complaint against the Director of Youth Protection (DYP) because her intervention plan was incomplete.

The citizen wanted to regain custody of her child who had been placed in a foster family, but she did not know how to go about it. She felt that her intervention plan did not properly describe the DYP's expectations in this regard. What's more, it had never been reviewed, even though it should have been on a regular basis.

Thanks to the Protecteur du citoyen, the content of the citizen's intervention plan was revised and clarified. The mother now knows what she has to do to meet the organization's expectations and re-establish a relationship with her child.
