Body

The Québec Ombudsman received a report about the difficulty North Shore residents have getting an appointment with a radiologist in order to receive anti-inflammatory injections.

The investigation by the Québec Ombudsman showed that the institution had not put real measures in place to enable timely access to this local service for people waiting to receive these injections.

The Québec Ombudsman considered the situation experienced by North Shore residents unacceptable. It therefore made one recommendation to the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and two to Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Côte-Nord, which pledged to implement them.
