After releasing a special report in 2009 on government services for children up to 7 years of age who have a PDD, the Québec Ombudsman today released its report on government services provided to individuals over 7 years of age with the same condition.

The report touches on various issues, including access to health and social services based on needs, the academic trajectory, planning the transition from school to the labour force, and independent living. The Québec Ombudsman found there was a gap between the government's commitment and reality and makes specific recommendations to the departments concerned.
